As the use of mobile devices like smartphones and tablets increase everyday, the need for cloud storage services has also been growing rapidly. Yunios website says only 100gb?

    • admin May 1, 2014, 11:48

The 1 TB offer seems to have expired. Bad luck mate!

    • Pial September 3, 2014, 14:37

COPY is the best one to get free space !
Sign up for Copy using this referral link and both you and me will earn an extra 5 GBs of free storage :

Copy limits upload with 25 files. I quit it …

      • James January 25, 2015, 04:07

Copy isn’t secure. I had an account with them, but they have problems tracking accounts that are with Microsoft. If you have hotmail, outlook or any Microsoft email account then Copy gets confused. I noticed files showing up that weren’t mine. I tried to reset my password and the password emails didn’t show up. I was finally told by Zach White, Technical Support Lead at Copy, that if two people have similar names then the accounts get cross-wired. For instance if John@hotmail.com requests a password reset, it might go to him or might go to John@msn.com instead…. or John@live.com. The worst part is that when I confronted them about it, they simply stopped responding. Seriously, don’t use Copy. I am not going to give out my real email address here, but let’s say that I am John@hotmail.com, I asked a Copy support person for the password to John@msn.com so I can reset my account and they gave it to me. It’s the worst security that I have ever seen.

        • Anchan February 7, 2015, 02:35

Yes, you are totally right James. I’ve used Copy, then after time got not comfortable with their security and privacy, specially after I read their Privacy terms, I immediately quit.

        • Bob B. February 22, 2015, 14:33

Copy had some issues back in 2013, but all that stuff has been fixed since. At least from reading their updates and trying to recreate what you did with support..also their privacy policy makes it like nobody will look at your files unless it’s the FBI or law enforcement with a court order.

          • James February 23, 2015, 03:32

Actually, all of the issues that I described happened in November of 2014. They haven’t fixed their security issues. A person named Leland Ursu at copy was willing to give my password to someone else in November. Don’t ever use Copy.

      • Andy kkundi April 17, 2016, 10:45

Copy is going to shut down. Bitch!

    • hiral July 4, 2016, 11:36

Microsoft One drive has reduced space to 5GB…..

      • Andac July 20, 2016, 07:36

OneDrive reduced mine as well, just 5GB, I am quitting right now..

        • badhannit November 1, 2016, 19:14

          Flikr …. 1TB

  • Ritu May 1, 2014, 11:50

i don’t understand why these types of reviews never include “Copy” in them. From what i have seen so far, it’s the best service out there (unlimited referral storage, no upload size limit, owned by Barracuda, better than box and onedrive) . You start out with 20gb of free storage if you sign up from a referral link, and each peron you refer gets you 5gb more.

    • ben September 3, 2014, 21:29

because it gives us only 15gb. what can you do with 15gb these days ?

    Minhateca is the best:

Unlimited space, very fast, 100 % free, no waiting time to download. :P

    • filipe January 23, 2015, 01:22

Estou usando o Minhateca. Parece que o limite do tamanho de arquivo é 5gb. Foi o maior tamanho que encontrei até agora. Você sabe quando terão o app de MAC do minhateca? obrigado.

      • martin fennell February 29, 2016, 19:58

I was able to get into Bees, But having difficulty with Minhateca

  • ahmed August 29, 2014, 19:31

    yandex is also amazing.

  • saf August 29, 2014, 21:58

Referrals are good actually; a win win situation for everyone.I regularly use copy and yandex disc. Both have very generous
referral system. In case of copy if you sign up through my referral
both you and i will receive 5 gb of extra space.

in case of yandex, i get 512 mb and you get 1 gb extra. i think these offers are really amazing…..

and then there is bitcasa with 1 gb award for each

there is no point of complaining about privacy with tencent or yunpan (yes they are giving terabytes for free!). I think US companies are more vulnerable to government pressure/monitoring than chinese companies…..

You get 500MB and one of your referrals activated, so you’ll only have to get 9 more.

I am really satisfied with MyAirBridge (www.myairbridge.com). Totally for free you can send up to 20 GB, with profile up to 100 GB!

    • mikmik40 November 21, 2015, 19:33

maybe it WAS free…..now it’s for MONEY

  • Olek September 24, 2014, 00:50

Yunio offers 100 GB free storage upon registration. This is really a big deal. But it’s not the total! With daily usage, the free storage amount gets even larger. You could add more 100MB space daily by using this service. Also you can find more information here http://ergonotes.com/who-gives-most-free-space-of-cloud-storage/

  • S Alam September 24, 2014, 07:18

‘Copy’ is the best to earn big storage free on my observation. It is time to use this opportunity.
Use the bellow referral link to get more 5GB free.

    • bob February 22, 2015, 14:24

When this person’s 5 referrals run out, please consider using mine copy.com/?r=UNYAyo

  • littleme September 30, 2014, 18:18

Copy gives you 15GB of free space + 5GB extra if you use this link to sign up with:

Its completely free and works great!

  • ampleom October 2, 2014, 15:24

the main things to consider is the security, automatic backup & unlimited uploads. Those providers who guarantee 100% security of your files should be your first priority

  • spooky October 2, 2014, 16:23

I was wondering which of these services is ideal as the storage for torrent or download. In my case it doesn’t make any sense of having a big Cloud storage because I have an ADSL, that’s to say that uploading sucks (it will take ages to upload even my many GBs of family pictures, not to mention a video.
Do you have any (non sponsored) suggestion?
p.s. am I wrong or the number of storage site (easyb, ddlstor. , …) that allow for “remote downloading” (that’s to say moving the file directly throught the Cloud to another host) are very few?

  • Munna Sharma October 4, 2014, 08:40

For me onedrive is best……………till date i have total 70 GB free.

    • mofker November 8, 2014, 18:58

Really?? Wow!! Till date I have about 200 onedrive accounts totaling 5 TB of space. :)

Not worth it though, a lot of the files get corrupted.

      • Chris April 12, 2015, 17:06

Its not necesary, to use many drive accounts, When you buy microsoft softwwares or devices,..or referening people,.. you can get more space,..

    I like shared.com.
It gives you 100 gigs for free.
Although I would advise you to use adblockers and whatever.
I also use mega.co, and mediafire.

Here you can get 3Gb free for every Facebook friend – pibox.com

    Nice stuff

  • Jhon December 29, 2014, 17:16

I have been using copy for a few months, I have my own blog, so I used it as platform to advertise copy and get additional storage.

my problem with copy started two months ago when I figured out that my main folder is missing.
when I try to access the folder I get:
“There was a validation error on our server. Check your URL.”

I contacted support, they answer back two times with stupid answers, like:
    – clear the cookie (even due I already specified in the support form
    that I tried in different computers and got the same result);
    – what is the path of the folder with the issue?
(even due it is already specified in the support form).

after I answered these questions, there was no reply for a few months, I am still waiting…

If your files are important to you,
I suggest to keep your distance from Copy cloud service.

  • Ásgeir December 29, 2014, 19:08

Copy threatens to delete the account, if not in there for a while. Onedrive, Googledrive is ok so long you keep their email account.

    • booc February 22, 2015, 15:07

Copy deletes after 90 days of inactivity. Your Microsoft Account (includes OneDrive, etc.) is deleted after 270 days of inactivity. Google I think is 365 days.

You just log in and it resets. Copy will email you 3 times during the final 30 days to just log in once.

  • Peter Alfons January 4, 2015, 10:34

MEGA. 50gb FREE, best of the best.

    • martin fennell January 6, 2015, 20:00

      100 gigs at shared.com

      • Sue September 13, 2015, 17:16

yeah, 100g for shared.com but if you keep your video there, it only can be uploaded till 30 minutes only and not more than that

  • Freddy Nelson January 14, 2015, 20:22

You also forget about Pibox file sharing pibox.com, which is deeply integrated into Facebook, is free and allows sharing files up to 2GB!

I always use it when sending large files to my friends in FB.

  • claude January 19, 2015, 07:18

    Has anyone tried phatdock.com ?

    • Nead Kolor January 24, 2015, 04:15

I advise against Phatdock because 29 Go is too big to be really free. Moreover, the terms and privacy policy of their website are 404 page…

  • norielle February 2, 2015, 20:19

      • bob February 22, 2015, 14:22

Maybe that was back in 2013, when they first started out. They’ve improved since then it seems, cause now they ask for your IP and your full email address, etc.

        • James February 23, 2015, 03:43

Nope, my issues were from a couple months ago. They haven’t fixed their problems.

  • Rick Shinholt February 9, 2015, 09:05

Please note on Tencent you can not store music files. I was hope for a backup to my mp3. I guess you maybe able to zip them and then upload, but what a waste of time.

  • debbie February 10, 2015, 13:44

Tencent will not let you download anything other than documents or photos, so unless you have 10TB of photos and Docs to download forget it, as no Music files or video files can be downloaded, I deleted it.

  • Ásgeir February 10, 2015, 15:30

Google drive and Onedrive are the best for music, 15 GB free. A certain email of their own is necessary, gmail and live.com While keeping their email accounts, no threats of deleting.

    • booc February 22, 2015, 15:10

Google and Microsoft do delete for inactivity, lol. Microsoft is 270 days, Google is like 365

  • Claude February 11, 2015, 00:52

Recently I came accross a new company that give 29GB Free of cloud storage! They’ve got some great security features about sharing with a link! You can upload everything Doc, Files, photo, movies, music. Plus on the top of that the uploading/downloading speed is pretty quick. Really simple I like it have a look http://www.phatdock.com

  • marcela lopez February 14, 2015, 16:08

I use MediaFire is very good to storage and share your things, 10GB for free. I use this site to share files, books and media i offer in my website. So far it gave me a great service.

  • marcela lopez February 14, 2015, 16:13

I forgot to add in my commentary “4Shared” (15GB free), this is a site that gave me great service like MediaFire (10GB free), as I mentioned before.

  • Matheus February 16, 2015, 01:14

Being using box also for a while and it’s great. Use the referral link below and get 5gb extra of space:

    • James February 16, 2015, 10:51

You said you were using box, but linked to copy. Copy isn’t secure. They send passwords to email accounts that aren’t associated with your copy account. I emailed them and asked for a password reset to an account that wasn’t linked with my email and they said “ok”
There are a few posts higher up that give details about how sloppy Copy actually is.

  • mark February 18, 2015, 21:13

Mankayia.com has unlimited free online storage that seems to have better features than other services. It’s worth checking out

  • Ásgeir February 18, 2015, 22:37

Mankayia free only allows to upload 3 files at time. But for $10 one time pay unlimited upload for life! If something is to good to be true, sure it is!

  • bob February 22, 2015, 14:11

Here’s my referral for Copy (starts you out with 20GB, instead of 15GB): copy.com/?r=UNYAyo

It’s great so far. You can stream music from it, the desktop app allows you to paste a shortcut into your Copy sync folder and Copy will backup everything that the shortcut links to. Their Privacy Policy makes it sound like nobody will see your data unless it’s the FBI with a court order. Overall I like it better than Dropbox.

By the way, after using my referral, you’ll need to 1. Confirm your email address 2. Download one of their apps for your system or phone and log in 3. That’s it.

    • Tim February 23, 2015, 07:52

Just a warning, Copy isn’t secure. I read a few other comments about it in this thread, but I will share my experience. I had an account. Then my password stopped working. I did the “forgot my password” email reset and they sent the email. I used it and logged in and found all of my stuff was gone and someone else was using the account. Apparently you can send an email to them and ask for a manual reset to any account that you want and they will do it. All of my personal info was accessed. Luckily I don’t keep damaging info online without encryption. Copy sucks.

      • martin fennell February 23, 2015, 08:55

        Has anybody ever used mr.file
i found out it’s based in romania.
they have unlimited storage, and you can upload files as large as
        4 gigs.
I mainly upload video and audio files.
earlier today i tried playing a video file i had uploaded, and got a message that my media player was out of date. Anyway to cut a long story i was asked to install two different media players, both of which have bad reputations. So I went no further. Then a few hours later, i tried again, and this time the video played through jwplayer. So I’m using the site still, but will be interested to see if i get asked to install anything again.

      • Bob B. April 14, 2015, 15:25

Sorry I disagreed with your comments, I’m just a very skeptical person. I thought maybe it was just an isolated incident or lie, but it seems you are right. Copy cannot be trusted. I didn’t host anything personal (never would anyway), so it wasn’t so bad. Probably best to just use MEGA or ownCloud, or even Amazon (which has a nice 60/yr unlimited) with some kind of encryption you trust.

I wish there were more trustworthy options for cloud providers, but too many seem too shady or like they’re gonna go out of business.

        • Tim April 14, 2015, 18:58

No problem. I am just trying to save people from having a bad day. I have no reason to lie about Copy – they just suck. I wish there were better options for cloud storage as well. I have used MEGA a bit and so far I haven’t had problems. Hopefully MEGA will continue to work well.

        • Flashy@gmail.com April 22, 2017, 11:14

          Amazon is amazing.

  • Ásgeir February 23, 2015, 00:22

Hi I had a go with copy and as it’s mentioned before isn’t secure!! Mrfile looks dodgy for me why they make you download stuff??? With all the new ones you are talking about, Phatdock seems the more attractive for me regarding upload file size… and 29GB free! I’ll try Phatdock

    • martin fennell February 25, 2015, 01:59

“Mrfile looks dodgy for me why they make you download stuff??
I’m still not sure about it.

      • Dwight February 25, 2015, 19:10

What are you not sure about it Martin?

        • martin fennell February 26, 2015, 01:30

Well, So i tried playing a movie i uploaded yesterday. it said i needed to download/update a program to play the video or some message like that.
I can’t remember exactly, because I’m trying to play a video now, and there is now sign of that message. but even when that message comes up, i found you can just ignore it, and just hit the play thingie within the box where the video appears. I think i wrote
“I’m still not sure about it.” when the first video i played stopped after about 4 minutes.
Well, the picture froze, the sound carried on for a minute or so longer, then it went wonky. But then I tried another movie, and that played fine. The other thing is that . It says it would take 3 hours to download a movie. But I haven’t given up on it, and I have a more positive attitude towards it since it had no problems playing the second movie i had uploaded.
But if you go to a site like veehd, unless you’re logged in, you will get a message telling you, you have to download this video player to play the video. The same with shared.com, you will get the same type of message . But as i said the trick is just to ignore it.
In defence of mr. files, they tell you not to upload copywrighted material, or it may be
taken of their servers without warning. but they probably all say that.
Well, that’s all i can say.

Hi again there, I’m getting Free Extra GB with PhatDock! It’s a new option they give 1GB for each referral. I was at 29GB and now after telling few friends I have 74GB all free. I want more as there’s no limit.

They don’t use a referral link but email address. So you too get extra GB Free. Send an email at iamafriendof@phatdock.com and insert my PhatDock username (claude88) in the subject line. Then they create your account and give us 1GB each.

    For example:

    Email: iamafriendof@phatdock.com

    Subject line: claude88

Copy is horrible. There are other comments that go more in depth a little further up the page, but I wanted to throw in my two cents. Copy doesn’t keep your stuff secure. They send your password to other email accounts. They will do a manual reset for you if you email them and you don’t have to verify your identity. When I read some of the other comments, I tried it. I had a Copy account so I sent an email from an email account that wasn’t associated with the Copy account and asked for a password reset. They did it. They didn’t ask for verification. They didn’t ask me to send the request from the email account that was associated with my Copy account. They just reset the password based on the word of a person that had a different email account. I stopped using Copy on the spot.

Well, I read a lot of reviews so far, regarding all popular free cloud services. I am mainly looking for:
    1. a cross-platform (Windows, Linux, and OS X) client software;
    2. Reliable sync;
    3. easy to use.
I finally chose Dropbox as it’s simply the most reliable and simple-to-use solution. Installed it on all my computers and am enjoying a smooth, flawless sharing and syncing experience working on all my home and work computers. Highly recommend it.

Copy.com is also providing client software for Win, Linux and OS X. However, there has been a bug in its sync function that still present in the current version – when you change a file on one computer, sometimes it won’t get synced on your other computers, which is a huge drawback if you work on files located on multiple computers. Despite its larger space, I discard Copy for Dropgbox.

Below is my Dropbox referral link. Please, using it to sign up an account and install the client software, you and me both get 500MB extra bonus.

    Enjoy Dropbox!

Currently, I do backup of my photos thru Cloubacko to both oneDrive and googleDrive because it provides encryption to photo and files. If using other cloud storage, do they provide encryption or do they have good way to secure my upload photos and files are safe? Thanks in advance.

On Basefolder. It sounded good. But as far as I could see, it’s not a place for storing stuff, in order to make room
in your computer. It’s for making copies of stuff. As for unlimited space. If anyone has a different opinion, I’d be interested.

  • Dennis September 29, 2015, 00:01

Thank you for providing useful, effective information on free cloud storage providers.
I have taken advantage of Adrive, MEGA, and QQ offers and opened and use accounts with gratifying results.
Please note however, that effective as of Nov. 16, ADrive will no longer be offering free cloud storage to account holders. This is also retro-active. Only Premium accounts will be offered. Considering my complete satisfaction with their service, I may up-grade at a cost.

There are plenty of useful features with Yandex.Disk, such as public and private folder and file sharing, the ability to import photos via social networks, bulk downloads, automatic mobile uploads, and support for drag and drop.

Windows, Mac, and Linux users can install a desktop program to upload files to Yandex.Disk, and a mobile app is available for Android, iOS, and Windows Phone. Easy to use also for keeping synced all your files across the gadgets.

The Chinese r the #1 HACKERS of … the WORLD!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
MEGA: While possibly Legit – this cant be verified! As their servers show “location” as the U.S. – NOT NZ! So while the actual company may very well BE in NZ – that cant actually be verified due to the fact that they’re a PRIVATE HOLDING CO. – what CAN be verified -at THIS point anyway- is that your Cloud Data is *NOT* being stored in NZ – despite what MEGA advertises.
Numerous Emails to them for followup: NEgative! NO response.
    Thats all. otherwise:

Even their best business accounts. For this reason I can not use

But I only get Dial UP numbers when downloading or uploading.
You can buy a 64GB USB 3.0 thumb drive in Staples for

I am a huge fan of Dropbox. It is really amazing when you can store all your files and be sure that you will not lose your site. Now I am using Backup & Restore Dropbox by WPAdm and it is pretty good and suits me a lot. First, I have been using free version, but when my business got better, I downloaded PRO version, that allows good schedule features and migration. It also has a nice online service for back up and restore.

    • Alexandre Calvario September 6, 2016, 13:41

      You could try the minhateca.com.br
Very easy and straightforward to use (unlike some others) Offers unlimited storage , the speed for uploads and downloads is reasonable – the only downside is that the site is in Portuguese (for me that’s no problem because I’m …Porguese;)) and you’ll have to, at least, sign in once every 6 months to keep your data

      • martin fennell September 6, 2016, 16:26

I was using the Bees site, until it closed. I guess this is a paying version of that.
I know there is a charge for downloading. But Is there a charge for uploading.>

        • martin fennell September 6, 2016, 16:39

i got as far as entering a password. I get forte forte, which means tightly?. I press continue, but nothing is happening.

          • Alexandre Calvario September 6, 2016, 18:39

That’s got to be something related to how strong (forte in english) the password is. You can also try logging using the facebook account…

  • martin fennell September 6, 2016, 17:05

okay. working now. Seems the only difference from Bees is that you have to pay to download other users stuff. Yep. you can search for stuff, and look through what users have. But downloading and uploading your own stuff seems to be free.
Alexandre, do you if they site will charge me for keeping my stuff online. or downloading it. if it’s there for a long period of time.

    • martin fennell September 6, 2016, 17:13

I forgot that this thread has the word “free” in it. So that should tell me the answer.

    • Alexandre Calvario September 6, 2016, 18:35

Yep , you’ve summed it right : you pay for the OTHER stuff , not the stuff you’ve uploaded yourself. They don´t charge for nothing else, at least not for now. The abelhas (“bees”) closed after only some 16 months , so I can´t vouch for the durability/reliability of clouds. To keep data for long time I’m using the m-disc verbatim for critical data (old vhs tapes converted to dvd) and bluray for the not so sensitive data (torrents and downloads) Guess they ‘ll keep the site as long they can make some kind of profit. One good thing I forgot to mention in my previous post is that they an app called minhatec.box which is a program that makes possibles uploadind several folders at the same time and resumes the uploads when something goes wrong and the app is available in the shakeapeare language…
